From the kitchen table of the president

While we haven’t heard anything new from the Province of Saskatchewan regarding golf club operations, the Board has not been idle.

Over the last week the Board has been working hard to ensure we can hit the ground running should we receive approval from the government to begin operations.  Specifically, the Board drafted and approved a COVID-19 Maintenance Employee Policy and a COVID-19 Clubhouse Employee Policy which outline safety procedures employees must adhere to while at work. In addition, the Board conducted and approved a detailed COVID-19 risk assessment which informed our COVID-19 Opening Mitigations Operations procedures document which was also approved by the Board. This document details the steps that will be taken to ensure we can operate safely. All of that work has been done to demonstrate to provincial authorities that we’re taking this very seriously, we’ve done our homework to ensure our staff, members and the general public can enjoy our facility knowing that all reasonable precautions have been taken to ensure their safety. The policies and procedures will be shared with the government tomorrow.

That’s it for this week.  Fingers crossed for favourable weather and good news from the Province in the near future.

Stay safe everyone.
